BROOKLYN WALL OF REMEMBRANCE RE-DEDICATION
The Brooklyn Wall of Remembrance is undergoing a change.
Originally it had only the first responders from Brooklyn that perished on 9-11-01. Now, through the efforts of Sol Moglen it will include all first responders that made the supreme sacrifice on 9-11-01.
The official ceremony will get underway at 2:00pm.
Retired New York City Police Officer Dan Rodriguez will sing the National Anthem, followed by singers from the USO. Gary Sinise and a host of honored guests will speak prior to the reading of the names of all the 415 first responders, including the Port Authority dog that was on duty that day: "Sirius"
United States Bronze and North Shore Monument worked together to erect the two walls which will bear the names of all first responders from all five boroughs of NYC.
Please arrive early to view the walls.
The event will be held under a big tent,
so it's rain or shine.
